Grilled chicken wings are easy and delicious while yogurt-marinated chicken stays tender and juicy — so I combined the two to make these yogurt marinated chicken wings. Inspired by Greek yogurt flavors, I used a Greek herb blend and paired the wings with a roasted red pepper and feta dipping sauce. Once you try them, you’ll see why this combination works so well.

Summer may be winding down, but fall grilling is still worth it. I keep the grill out as long as the weather allows, so this yogurt-marinated chicken wing recipe felt right to share. It’s simple, adaptable, and perfect for casual meals or parties.
These wings are straightforward to prepare and deliver big flavor. The yogurt marinade makes the meat exceptionally tender and juicy, while the fresh herbs add bright, Mediterranean notes that pair beautifully with grilled char.

The method is as simple as it gets: combine yogurt, herbs and seasonings, add the wings to a bag or container, and let them marinate. A few hours in the fridge — or overnight if you have time — develops flavor and tenderness. When you’re ready to cook, wipe off excess marinade and grill. About 7–8 minutes per side over medium heat will give you nicely browned, crisp wings with fully cooked meat.
If you want a finishing touch, serve these wings with a tangy roasted red pepper and feta dip or classic tzatziki. Add a salad and some pita or crusty bread for a complete meal. The dip is especially good — it complements the Greek herb flavors perfectly and elevates the wings from great to memorable.

Whether you’re grilling for a weeknight dinner or hosting friends, these wings are easy to scale and prepare ahead. Marinate in the morning or the night before, then finish on the grill when you’re ready. The result is tender, juicy wings with a bright herb-forward Greek profile and a crisp, appealing exterior.

Grilled Greek Yogurt Marinated Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 3 medium cloves garlic, crushed
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh oregano
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 3 lb chicken wings
Instructions
-
In a large resealable bag or a baking dish big enough for the wings, mix together all the marinade ingredients. Add the wings and toss to coat them well. Marinate for at least 3 hours up to one day.
-
Heat your grill. Once the grill is hot, reduce the heat to medium.
-
Before grilling wipe off excess marinade, then add the wings, flat side down, and grill covered for 7–8 minutes, or until the wings are browned and have good grill marks on that side.
-
Turn them and grill for another 7–8 minutes. The wings should be well browned and crispy and the meat fully cooked through when you remove them.
-
Serve with roasted pepper and feta sauce or tzatziki.
