Slow Cooker Potatoes, Green Beans, and Ham

Ingredients

  • 8 red potatoes scrubbed and halved
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans
  • 1 lg. onion cut into eight wedges
  • 2 c. cooked ham cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 c. chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place the halved potatoes, frozen green beans, onion wedges, diced ham, and chicken (or vegetable) broth into the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper to your preference.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, until the potatoes are tender and flavors are blended.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning before serving. For a traditional Southern presentation, serve with fresh sliced tomatoes and warm cornbread.
